Context Switching

Hey all,

I was going through Resource Manager and noticed alerts on a bunch of our machines with Context Switching. I understand what Context Switching but our numbers are really high, like hitting 70000. Any recomendations?

What kind of servers do you have?

There is a known issue with high context switching and IBM x335 servers.
Citrix and IBM both suggested that I turn off HyperThreating in the BIOS of those servers.

This should cut down on the high context switching.

We run a lot of 345 machines. Should be similar architecture. Thanks for the info. We will give it a shot.
