Contents of Subclient

Anyone able to add a drive from another server onto a subclient? We had some consultants that said it was feasible to do.

Add the UNC path \\server\C$ to the subclient and use a local admin account for credentials.

Thanks for the tip! This might seem silly, but how does one browse the data? Normally, when you browse data, it will typcally show the drives of that subclient.

It will show as a different node/level in the browse window with a "UNC-MY_MACHINE_NAME_HERE" entry. Make sure you try a browse/restore before you decided your UNC backup worked. You will get bad performance because the backup will go an extra hop from the client with CV installed to the UNC path and back again to the media server.
