We have migrated from Microsoft Exchange 2000 to Lotus Notes/Domino 6.0.2. In Exchange there is an Address Book item called a Contact which can be used to send mail to a user off the system.

Example:
We create a contact that displays as "ABC" and has an email address of "abc@company.com". This contact forwards all mail to address "it-abc@server1.company.com". So now if somebody sends a message to "abc@company.com" it gets forwarded to "it-abc@server1.company.com".

Here's the question. How can I accomplish this same thing in Lotus Notes?

Requirements:
1. There must be an entry in the address book for ABC so people can choose it from the address book.
2. It must accept email sent to abc@company.com
3. It must foward mail to some other address such as
it-abc@server1.company.com

Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

You can create a Notes user as you normally would and define a "Forwarding Address" in the users person document. The person document is located in the Global Address Book on your server under "People" view.

Hope this helps.
