Contact1 Field Lengths

Hi,

Anyone know of any issues with changing the field length in the Contact1 DB? I need to change the Company data length to accomodate large names. It is defaulted to 40 I believe. Any problems with making this 50-60? I run GM 6.0 with DBF databases.

Should be fine, dont take it over 80.

Its not recommended though. You'll need to update the entry in datadict.dbf as well. Whenever you upgrade you run the risk of it resetting.
