Its said that you need to install Contact store on a seperate disk partition, does this mean the whole application or just the calls folder? Also what would be the recommended size of this partition?

I think that it just seperates the library element from the software installation - sizes etc will be in the documentation, though you can run it fine on the same drive.
I think the notes only make it a preference??? Been a while - but doing 2 next month. need to reread this myself

the separate partition is recommended as dedicated storage for the recordings, the os & application should be on its own partition.

I would make it ass large as possible, 30 GB should be more than enough of a system partition for even the most bloated windows install.

Computers are like Air conditioners:-
Both stop working when you open Windows

there are two reasons

1) CS might potentially fill the boot drive and cause the machine to not work too well

2) other apps can fill the drive and this causes CS to literally delete a whole load of recordings, and this is bad. it wont simply overwrite the oldest first.

Also it makes it a little easier to manage.
