I have installed contact store (7.8.16) on an XP machine. The IPO is running 4.2(20).The contact store PC is separate from the VM server and all works well except that the recordings library shows 3 identical recordings for every call. Has anyone seen this before?
 
I suppose that if you had call reocrding on for the ICR and Group and member of the group then you would have three identical recordings.
 
Recording is only on under the user. Double checked just to be safe!
 
I have installed CS 7.8.16 on 5.0.8 a couple of times now and not noticed this issue.

I think your issue is 4.2(20) FW does not support CS 7.8.16 (which was released with Version 5 FW) you should be using the older version 7.2.9, if you upgraded to Version 5.0.8 firmware CS 7.8.16 should work OK.

If you turn off contact store, for each call being recorded, how many recordings are being delivered into the vrlDir?

If configured as you expect, there should be one. If three the issue is in the VmPro and\or its configuration, if one, restart contact store so that the recording is picked up, and see if it creates three entries, in which case the issue is likely the contact store.
 
Sorry I have 7.2.09 installed not 7.8.16. There is only one recording in the voice mail library. I did the restart after the install as the first time I got about 20 instead of 3.
 
Try a reinstall of CS
Also just to confirm I would try on another PC if possable.
