I have moved contact store 7.8.1.16 from windows server 2003 to windows server 2008. Moved all records to the new server and could see old recordings as of the move day but, after the first reboot of the server all the old files can no longer be seen in the search and replay. The recordings newer then the day of the move are searchable. The call segments recorded to date is 110,095 so, I assume that the system sees the recordings but just does not search them. Any ideas?

have you looked at the VRL folder yet? if not please verify if all the wav files are right there.

If it still there, you need to patch your CS with the patch provided at the avaya support.

Thanks for the reply and the help. I did apply the patch per your suggestion. I looked at the VRL file and the .tmp files are all that is in it. Do I need to re-import the old files again after applying the patch?

There's no need to re-import, you need to rename those .tmp files into .wav and VM will do the rest.

Once again thanks for the help!

I did change the .tmp files to .wav and they are all gone now but, I still cannot see anything before the move. Any other suggestions?

If you are looking in search and replay you can only see the recordings as of the date of the move. You cannot see any recordings older then the move day.

You did move the database too didn't you?

Take Care

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

Yep sure did. I actually saw older recordings the first day.

Should the techtip 175 work to restore this?
