I have R9 Application Server installed I forgot the password for the contact recorder so as its only for training I logged in to the application server and went to updates and clicked on uninstall, I thought the button would have changed to install after and I could simply re install it, however its gone, and when I checked the application server files I used to install it in the folder that has the .rpm files I can not see anything that resembles contact recorder.

I have a ticket open with Avaya but they are taking too long to find the answer.

anyone know how to reinstall just the contact recorder or which file is the correct .rpm file.

thanks in advance

You just need to get the .rpm file (it is a single file) for the application.

The reason it wasn't present is explained somewhere in the manuals. Depending on how the server was installed it gets a backup copy of all the original installation .rpms for the IP Office components or it doesn't. The OVA virtual install doesn't because they needed to slim down the OVA file. ISO installs do.

Anyway, just get hold of the iso and open it using something like Winzip. Dig around and you'll find them (can't remember the file path of my head).

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

The file path is -> var/cache/avaya/apps

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Thanks for the replies, I have uploaded some rpm files but they are not the ones, is it possible to remove the rpms after uploading, all they are saying is current version but there are a lot so I could do with removing the ones I just uploaded.

thanks

connect with Winscp or secure shell and go to the folder and remove the rpm's you do not need.

It's csipo.rpm that you need (I think).
