Hi, strange issue. I have the default Contacts folder for my personal contacts... and I have several lists that were in that "folder".. and they used to show up indented under Contacts. But, now they're no longer indented, and I can't export all of my contacts like I used to... just by clicking the top-level Contacts and exporting.

The folder structure seems to be intact... because I can go to "Folder Size" under Contacts' properties... and it shows the subfolders properly. It's just not displaying or working as it should. I can't figure out how to fix it!

Any ideas?

When you say "that folder" I am assuming it is showing up somewhere else in your Outlook folder structure? If so, just grab it drag it and drop it back into your Contacts, and it should be where you wanted it. You may have just double moved it accidently when you tried to click is sometime.

It's confusing terminology. I'm referring to the default "Contacts" contact list in the Contacts section of Outlook as a folder, because it can have subfolders, i.e. subcontact lists. (The lists are folders, technically)

I want to be able to export all of my contacts at once, by selecting the "Contacts" contact list and exporting. I used to be able to do this. But, it hasn't been working lately, mysteriously... to reinforce that, I've noticed that the subcontact lists aren't indented anymore. However, if I look at the Folder Size button in the properties of "Contacts", it shows the subcontact lists as subfolders. This is correct. But, it just doesn't want to display or work as it should.

Is it possible that all the contents of the subfolders have been moved to a separate folder, so that the subfolder still shows, but really has nothing in it, and there is another folder that has all your "subcontacts" in it?

In any case, I think one way to fix it would be to create a new folder the where you want it, and move all your "subcontacts" back into that new folder. Then delete the one that seems to be in the wrong place.
