Hi,

I have a simple database with contact information in it. The field that is relevant is LastName.
I want to create a button (well 26 of them!) that will jump to the first contact whose LastName matches the letter M for example. If there are no Contacts with the LastName starting M then a msgbox will come up to say so.

How would I go about this?

TIA
Steven

A starting point:
Me.Recordset.FindFirst "LastName Like 'M*'"

Hope This Helps, PH.

Have you see the Customer Phone List in the Northwind sample database?

Remou - that is PERFECT! Just what I want. I will now tailor that and make it fit my requirements

Thankyou so much.
