I have recently taken over a CCM 6.0 server and no one seems to know the password for the utility. I know the userid is sysadmin. Is there any way to reset or break the password.

Thanks

Dwayne

Ihave tried both of them. There has to be a back door.

When you install the CCMS, the initial default password dor the Utility Client is nortel. It will make you change it so many vendors change it to nortel1, but it can be anything.

You need to be careful changing the password because (i believe) CCMA (web client) and third party applications (work force management, wallboard displays) use the same password.

On a fresh install you are forced to change the sysadmin password. if you are doing a migrate from 4.2 or 5.0 then it takes over the password.

If the password has been lost, then it is a back to Nortel for reset. They normally need access via PCAnywhere. If you talk to them V nice then they will generate a 1 hit password for the NGenDist, that will then allow you to chnages the sysadmin pwd.
