Contact center 7 win server 2003 and CSE 7.6 compatibility

Has anyone taken a cse to 7.6 and have a cc7 still running. I see CC7 being supported on 7.5 but not 7.6. Is that for real or is Avava wanted to scare us into AACC ? Any advice or real experience would be appreciated !...
