Contact birthday and Calender reminder

Hi,
Is there a way to setup Exchange with Outlook 2003 that when you create a contact in your Outlook Exchange public folder and add the birthday field, that it will "synchronise" with the Calender to pop-up a message/reminder when the birthday comes up on the specific day?
