!!! WARNING !!!

Do NOT upgrade to version 6.0. If you do plan to upgrade, upgrade to at least version 6.0.1 (or whatever is the latest version available at the time you read this). There is a bug in version 6.0 that will corrupt your databases such that you CANNOT RECOVER FROM YOUR BACKUPS!! (Supposedly the data is there and intact, you just cannot retreive it).

Legato's website claims to have a utility to fix this, but you cannot get it unless you've paid the big $$$ for a support contract. (Yes, you read this right.......Legato has put out a product that they admit will corrupt your data, and then will force you to pay for the fix.)

Version 6.0.1 does not have this problem, but will not correct for any previous problems (if they exist) from a previous 6.0 installation. It will only "fix" the problem from the date of the 6.0.1 installation forward.

This information (except for the bit about having to pay Legato to repair your databases that they broke) is available on Legato's website, so if you've been thinking about upgrading (or have upgraded), you've probably read up on this issue already. But in case you haven't heard of this yet.........BUYER BEWARE!!

Thank you for the update....
