When Field RecordId on the active form show 3 then the map to consult is P_3
When Field RecordId on the active form show 4 then the map to consult is P_4

The path is c:\wilfried\stamps\P_X (the value corresponding on the RecordId

In this map there may be Word documents, recieved emails, sended emails, scanned text, pictures

I dont't know the Visual Basic code to do so

How about FollowHyperlink?

[tt]FollowHyperlink "c:\wilfried\stamps\P_" & Me.RecordId[/tt]

FollowHyperlink works with most things: directories, text files, pictures, etc.
