Constanly being asked to reactivate XP Pro

From the start I've had problems activating XP Pro on my machine. Eventually I had to break down and call MS and they gave me a new activation code and got me up and running. Now, everytime I reboot I get prompted to activate XP AGAIN! I activate it every time and it tells me that I've been successfully activated. What could be causing this? It is extremely frustrating to have to do this every single time.
