Some of my rootvg lv's have extended across two physical volumes (including /usr). I'd like to consolidate them again back on to a single volume (after making space).

Are there any known problems using migratepv when dealing with the extents of rootvg lv's?

Hi mij,

I have used migratepv many times on lv's that reside in rootvg without issue. It should work just fine. As with any operation on rootvg though, I would make sure to have a mksysb available in case the worst happens.
