Hi,

I am trying to find a way to consolidate data from 3 fields and remove duplictaes in the process but am having no luck. Here is what I need to happen:
I have 3 fields of datain cells A:B and need to sum cells C:C per conditions from A:A and B:B. eg,
A | B | C |
H001 | 10001 | 30 |
H001 | 10001 | 20 |
H001 | 10002 | 10 |
H002 | 10001 | 12 |
H002 | 10002 | 5 |
H002 | 10002 | 5 |

and need to have it look like this once it has been consolidated;
A | B | C |
H001 | 10001 | 50 |
H001 | 10002 | 10 |
H002 | 10001 | 12 |
H002 | 10002 | 10 |
is this possible I tried to use the consolidation feature in Excel 2007 but no luck, please shed some light on this for me or point me in the correct direction.

Thank yoou in advance for any help to complete this task.

Hi,

FIRST, your table must have a row of headings directly above the data. NO EMPTY ROWS in the data.

Use a PivotTable Alt+D P displays the Pivot Table Wizard.

The summarization you describe, takes about 10 seconds to configure in a Pivot Table, once you know what you are doing.
