ConsoleOne 1.35 blue screen Citrix server

Since performing the most recent Windows 2000 updates on our Citrix servers, running ConsoleOne 1.35 blue screens (crashes) the Citrix server hard. We can still run 1.33 fine, but the GroupWise docs indicate you need to be running the latest version.

I know you can't use NetWare administrator any more, but does anyone know if there is a problem administering GroupWise with the slightly older 1.33 ConsoleOne?

There are newer versions than 1.35. Which version depends on your patch level.

You have to use ConsoleONe for GroupWise 6.x. Don't try to use NWADMIN, you'll kill your system.

You should download and install ConsoleOne 1.3.6(g?) from download.novell.com

I know about not using NWAdmin. My question was whether ConsoleOne ver 1.33 was ok to using with GW 6.5.

I will try the lastest version, but think it is the one that I'm using - since it blue screens the Citrix server, I have not wanted to run it again to double-check the version.

No it's not okay. I believe that 1.3.5 is the oldest you'd want to use. Also make sure you have the latest Groupwise snapins for ConsoleOne.

If there is any doubt, just create a new folder on C: and install console one there. Then copy the groupwise snapins and you're set.

It was Console1.36. I updated to 1.36c (latest). Also updated JVM. But running it still crashes the Citrix server as soon as it starts to load.

seems a strange choice of software to be installing on citrix anyway

console1 is a hungry mother and should only be used by admins anyway

this kind of app would be better on a pc

Thanks Terry. But this location is full thin client. Workstations there are only dumb terminals. So my only other option is to set up a PC to login to NetWare directly for ConsoleOne. Not a great solution, but will do for now.
