I am having an issue. I can dial into the PBX (Option 61C), but I never get the > prompt. Here's where it hangs:

Command: 7
Which host port? (1,2) 1
OK - use <control>] A to terminate

Is there something wrong?

enter 7 key followed by the enter key.
enter 1 key followed by the enter key.
hit the enter key again, that should be your PBX.

that's an seb(site event buffer), they can be programed to monitor for alarms and do a remote notification.. you can have two serial ports connected to that device, as posted 7, 1 will take you to port 1..

I do 7, 1 but it does not let me in. I have been able to do this in the past. On Wed I had to reboot the switch because of a lock up. Since I have not been able to get into the console. I can do so thru OTM Terminal but I need to be able to do it remotely too.

Go to LD 37 and enter "stat tty" the tty that is connected to your SEB is most likely disabled. Re-enable tty's that are disabled.

Awesome!!!!! Thank you!!! That was it.
