Hi Guys,

I am looking for a solution to this issue and I'm sure this has happened to someone else before.

We have a customer with two sites running MXeIII's on 10.2.2.10 (4.2SP2) and both sites have 1 x 5550IP console each.

The problem scenario is that site A's console calls site B's console and asks to be transfered to another extn on site B. The transfer is not permitted as apparantly consoles are not allowed to be put on hold according to Mitel.

I'm trying to work out another way around this. The best I can come up with is having a normal IP handset on each operators desk so they can do it. Not ideal from the customers point of view.

Any suggetsions would be really appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi Boycey9,

Unfortunatley you can't park a console.

From the Help file:
•An attendant console cannot be parked. Attempts to park a console are ignored and no tones or display messages are provided to the parker to indicate that the action is disallowed.

I forgot to say these Sites are clustered.

Thanks Stephen.

As you have found out the console can't be put on hold.
If site one makes an external call to reach site two then the call can be handled normally. That might be the only option.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

Hi LoopyLou,

I reckon that might be the only way to do it. Not Ideal but it will work.

Thanks for your suggestion.
