Console Message waiting light

System is a Merlin magix with 007mlm v-mail, console is a mlx20. System is in pbx mode and console is qcc. The MWL will not go out. Checked all three general boxes all are empty. Feature code to turn off lights doesn't work on the console. Where to next?

Try just doing MENU, MESSAGES, DELETE MESSAGES and see if that clears it up.

I had to do that one one that I renumbered the other day and that took care of it.

I already tried that there were no messages to delete.

Try going to Menu>Maintenance>System>MW LP Update

if the light is on and there are no messages, I would try the obvious, unplug the phone and plug it back in. There is obviosly a communication error between the phone and the KSU. As well, go to another phone...dial #53 and the extension of the console. Then go to menu, messages...at that point it should say at the top where the message came from. If it says there are no messages then, when you know you sent one, then I would try another MLX 20L or 4424ld..whichever you have. Don't forget to delete the message you sent to the console either by menu, messages,delete or by going to the phone that sent the message and dial #*53 and extension. Another note, the phone has to be off-hook when you dial the MWL codes.
