Console for E220R Sun Server 1

Hi,
I have a Sparc E220 server. I don't have a sun monitor. Will it be possible for
me to run a terminal emulation on my laptop(using Hyperterminal) and connect the
laptop to the serial port and use it as a console? what would be the connection
settings in that case? Do I have to make any changes in the /etc/inittab file
also?i have been trying to do this but am unable to do it due to some reasons.

please advice...

dear naveen,

if u wanted wanted only console interaction you can use the hummingbirds exceed or invoke any terminal emulators without any changes.
if so kindly let me know what sort of problems u r facing.
