Console & coverage

My customer has a Magix with MLX sets. 2 MLX20L consoles. All calls hit an AA up front and the 0 option is set to go to the main console x2201. If the main oper is very busy the call rolls into x2201 vm box. I added a primary cover button on console 2 x3001 and now if the 0 call is unanswered the call never hits vm. Initially when you press 0 the call rings the SA button as well as the cover button but after a certain number of rings it starts ringing on the line button and does not ring on the cover button anymore. The vm cover for x2201 is 3 rings and the cover delay for primary is 1 ring and the transfer return is set to 9 rings. The 0 option in the AA is set to go to x2201 and 2201 is the principal user of the lines. Any thoughts? If I remove the cover button from x3001 the coverage works fine and the call goes to vm. A pickup button is not an option as it will pick up a held call at times (tried that)

Are both MLX 20 in as an "Operator" ?

yes they both are

maybe, vm/aa transfer return is set at 4, group cover delay for 2201 is default at 3. group cover is delayed when you add a primary or secondary cover point. the result is that vm/aa
transfer return happens before group cover.
