ConnProfilingEnabled problem, pls help

The problem that keeps occuring is this :

"The value null for attribute ConnProfilingEnabled could not be read successfully."

I thought the only value that ConnProfilingEnabled is either true or false, why does value being sent back is null? And what does ConnProfilingEnabled do? Is it ok if I don't use it?
Any help/comments/suggestions is greatly appreciated..
