I use this connection string in Microsoft Access to connect a database to my SQL Server 2000 database SP3.
"ODBC;DATABASE=Complaints;DRIVER=SQL Server;SERVER=DEVPT4;Trusted_Connection=Yes;PROTOCOL=TCP/IP"
On 2 Windows 98 machines I get this error:
Connection Failed:
SQLState:'01000'
SQL Server Error: 10061
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]ConnectionOpen (Connect())
Connection Failed:
SQLState:'08001'
SQL Server Error: 17
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]SQL Server does not exist or access denied"
It works fine on other 98, 20000 and XP professional machines.
Any ideas ?
