Hello all.

We have a request to link the MS Access objects to data that will reside on and Oracle database in UNIX.

Can I create a connection thru the ODBC Administrator?

Will the link to tables should be as like on an Oracle Windows server?

Do I need drivers or other files to make Access connect to Unix?

Am I in the correct forum?

Thank you.

You would need to set up a system DSN in ODBC Administrator. How you do this tends to be database specific. I have not dealt with Oracle on UNIX, so can not give you specific advice there. You may indeed need to load special drivers. Googling on "Oracle UNIX ODBC DSN" will probably get you the info, eventually.
