I've been given a task of implementing a VPN solution so that some of the staff where I work will be able to access a particular piece of software on our network, from home....via remote desktop.

I have two questions: How many incoming VPN connections can ONE windows XP workstation support? And is there a limit to the number of incoming connections a W2K or Windows 2003 server can support?

XP VPN is peer to peer VPN an dlimits one connection. Windows server VPN can have over 100 (128?) conenstions.

If your staff needs remote access Terminal Services might also work. If you need to use a VPN then a static IP is needed on each end along with VPN routers. If you implement this you do not need to use Remote Desktop.
