I was notified today that Avaya will hangup the gloves on the octel 250. To make a bad situation worse I need to connect a Cisco call manager to a FLT8 card for VM service. We current have 2 cards so a total of 16 ports being utilized by are current phone switch NEC2400 IPX. Do I really need to use another FLT card or can the Cisco equipment route thru the NEC for VM service?

You will be able to buy parts for the Octel for years. Are you going to use both PBX's or are you replacing the NEC with the Cisco?

You can have both hooked up to the same PBX but if you are getting rid of one it will change how you do it.
