Hi,

When I try to make a connection to a share using username xx I get a message that multiple connections from one user that uses multiple usernames are not allowed.

I think I get this message because I made a connection to that share before using a different name but I don't want to use that username anymore.

Anyone got an idea how to get rid of this message ? There are no network connections open to that specific share so I can't delete the connection.
Is this information written somewhere in a file or registry key ?

Thanks,

Richard

from command prompt run 'net use'

you will see all shares that are in use here, find the one one waht to 're-use' and issue a 'net use \\server\share /del' command

from within Windows then you should be able to recdonnect using new credentials.

I tried that but the connection to the share that I try to make is not visible there.

I seems like Windows remembers the previous used password somewhere and does not allow the same connection using a different name.

ok then.

from control panel / user accounts / advanced / manage passwords can you see the connection there and change details?
