Connection to database problem

Hi,

I am brand new to ASP.net and I am having a problem connecting to an Access Database that I have created on my desktop. It seems that I can view my database just fine with Solution Explorer, however whenever I build and browse it gets to my open command and then generates an error stating the path of my database is either opened exclusively or I do not have permissions to view the file.

I am using OLeDBConnection with Jet 4.0 the db is Access 2000.

I would be grateful for any help or suggestions.

Make sure your aspnet user has proper permissions to the folder/file.

The folder is marked where everyone can have full control. Is there another way to set the ASPNet User rights?

What about at the file level? And just to make sure, what if you specify aspnet user to have permissions?

Thanks for your replies. You were right the ASP user account had only restricted permissions which was causing the problem.
