I saw this question posted 4 years ago and no answers seem to follow it. I've tried Symantec's forums and anywhere else I could think of. No one seems to know the definitive answer to this burning issue...including the makers of the software.
I'm running BEWS ver. 12 on XP SP2. Every so often and very randomly, the system will time out it seems and I'll receive the error that it has lost its connection to the database. Restarting the SQL service seems to resolve it but that's not a solution. This happened again last night in the middle of a full backup. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
