I have a Solaris 8 server running Networker 6.1.1.Build.238 and I am trying to run a backup of a windows 2000 server that is in a DMZ. I have set the ports on the server and the client.
Server - Solaris 8 - Legato 6.1.1
Service Ports = 7937-9936
Connection Ports = 10000-10500
Client - Windows 2000 - Legato 6.2
Service Ports = 7937-7938
Connection Ports = 10000-10500
The DMZ has been configured to allow the ports that we use. The problem is I keep getting a connection timed out. I did a trace on both the server and the client. It looks like the servers are able to make a connection with one another but when the client replies to the server it looks like its sending the reply from port 29000 to port 10450. Why is it using ports outside of the configured port range. Any ideas?
Has anyone encountered the "Connection Timed out" error?
Thanks for the help.
