Not sure if this is the correct forum or not, so i apologize if it is not.

Is it possible to have a connection string that is an nt group?

For example, I have an nt group called: ITS_ProdSupport which contains 5 people in it.

Rather than setting up 5 connection strings, can i use ITS_ProdSupport?

Many web application use a single shared user account for all database transactions.

If you need each user to connect to the database with their own credentials then you could turn off anonymous access to your web app. This will cause the browser to send the username along with the HTTP request and then perhaps you could take that username and pass it along to the database?
