Hello,
I am creating a linq to entities application. When creating the connection string, I chose the option to not show the password in the connection string in web.config.

How then, do I set the password from within my application?

Thanks for any thoughts.

you would need to supply this manually by modifying the connection string before opening the connection.

why would you not put the password in your config file?
1. users cannot directly access the web.config file
2. you can encrypt the connectionstrings using a .net utility within the framework (never used it, google for more info)
