I just installed linux 7.1 on Dell 1650 server, For some reason i'm able to ping out for a minute or so after the server has been rebooted. I'm able to ping my eth0 but nothing else. I have checked my messages file and have not found anything in regards to my network connection. I have Iptables disabled.

Any ideas on what could be causing this??

I had this problem and ended up changing the network card with one certified for Linux and that fixed it for me
