Hi,

I have a need to check and log the connection speed of a PC running a WinForms app. The client needs to perform a data sync using DTS with the remote server and users have experienced problems.

It would be good if I could elimate a poor connection from the possible causes of these problems.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how I might go about checking this?

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Oliver

You could use the Ping class to see how the server responds (although this isn't necessarily an indication of data connection problems).

Ping.Send returns a PingReply object, which has a RoundtripTime property.
