I have a small network setup with a win 2003 as a DC, and it also acts as a proxy server.

The clients on the network after a certain time get disconnected from the network resources, no access to shared drives, although access through the proxy is ok.
Once the client is disconnected I have tried start->run-> \\[servername] and i get prompted for a username and pass. However the user on the w/s is already part of the domain admins (???)
Sometimes the network resources connect again, other times I get the message that "MULTIPLE CONNECTIONS TO A SERVER OR SHARED RESOURCE BY THE SAME USER, USING MORE THAN ONE USER NAME" etc

Tis is becoming really annoying.....can anyone please help??

Thx

How small is small?

Is the server SBS or proper 2003 Server?

Mike

OK, sorry I forgot to be more specific.

Network has 5 w/s all win xp sp2 pro.
Internal Network range 192.168.0.1 -> 192.168.0.100
Wireless Access Point fixed ip @ 192.168.0.100 (dhcp switched off)
DC is Win 2003 Enterprise, DHCP, DNS and Active Dir switched on, 2 NICs, also acting as proxy server.
1st NIC - Internal: Fixed IP 192.168.0.1
2nd NIC - External to ADSL modem: Fixed IP 10.0.0.150

DHCP service :
Address Pool - 192.168.0.10 -> 192.168.0.50
Exclusions - 192.168.0.100 (for wireless point)
scope Options 003 Router = 192.168.0.1
006 DNS Server = 192.168.0.1

DNS Forward + Reverse zones configured

I also have an Event ID 40961 in the system log, this always seems to point to a reverse DNS zone not being configured, but I cant seem to find what the problem is. The event happens every hour, although the clients seems to disconnect on a less regular basis.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
