Hello, one of the systems we are servicing has a problem with the operator console

They can make outbound calls, but the customers cannot reach the site. Switchboard indicated an alarm no.3. After the switchboard was reset, the problem was solved

The alarm on the system is related to Digital trunk from EQU position (001-1-20-00) that is out of order since 02aug. The system engineer found that the connection with the Operator Console (switchboard) was lost ("error 261 NO CONNECTION WITH OPERATOR CONSOLE") so it is possible that there was a cable connection problem to the switch or the console was unplugged from the switch. To solve this issue engineer performed a reset of the Operator Console port from switch 1-0-52-15. and erase all the switchboard alarms from the systems.

Cables are checked, and have no error. The alarm as below is coming up again.

DATE: 16SEP13 TIME: 13:07:29
CLASS: 3
271 DIGITAL TRUNK, RECEIVED ALARM FROM REMOTE END
DATE TIME ALP NOIF UNIT EQU BRDID INF1 INF2
16SEP13 13:07:22 1 1 SLP60 001-1-20-00 57 257 0

Any advise as where the problem might be found is welcome.

Thank you

What route is on the board in 1-1-20; is this a connection to the PSTN?
The alarm indicates that the far end of that connection is not receiving a signal. i.e. Your receive path is ok but your transmit signal is not reaching the far end.
