We have been running Continuous Protection Server (CPS) for a couple of months and I am beginning to wonder if it isn't causing problems. Users have been complaining of intermittent "Connection failure" messages when running desktop applications that connect to SQL server DBs (version 2000). Connection is via the ADOConnection component.
We are NOT using CPS to back-up the SQL Servers, but we are using it for other servers, and we had to remove it from one server where it was clearly causing a problem with our Accounts system (written in Visual Fox Pro).
Maybe this is a wild guess, but we have tried various remedies without success. Is anyone out there running CPS, and have you encountered any such problems?

Peter

Have you tried lowering the bandwidth in the CPS agents to reduce the network traffice between you business server and protection server?
