Hello,

I just started learning ASP and I'm trying to connect to a SQL Server 7-database. The problem is that I'm getting a provider-error.

Here is the error:

Error Type:
Microsoft VBScript compilation (0x800A03EA)
Syntax error
/Test/eorganizer_v1/include.asp, line 29
& "Provider=SQLOLEDB;" _

Is this a common problem? How can I solve it?

Yes, syntax errors (your error) are very common. ;-)

If you post the code for your connection string (replacing your security info, of course), then someone here would be happy to help you.

Hello again,

I solved the problem... I placed a "&" where it didn't have to be...

Thanks Paul for the quick reply though! :)
