Hi! Back again. Had a post earlier on the weekend (see "SQL 7.0 Proper Backup and Restore Procedures" on this forum). OK, placed the original machine back and that machine (we'll call it the "server" although on just a P2P network via a switch with one other computer) works just fine, however, the second computer, we'll call "workstation" uses the program from the "server" via the network and shortcut icons. When we try to connect, we get the following error:
"[DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen(Connect()).] SQL Server does not exist or access denied."
Note that I took this machine and placed it on a router with DHCP at the shop. Apparantly, this may be a TCP/IP problem from what I understand.
From my research, I found the following link:
Now, where do I go and what step by step functions do I perform to get there? Don't have the machine in front of me, but I assume that "Server Network Utility" is off the SQL menu with Ent. Mgr.
Thanks again for your help and patience! Any guideance is greatly appreciated!
