Getting back to this thread from a while back

I have a IPO500 with about 20 IP phones and IP Dect.

Reception experiences long 20 second delays when anwering a call through Soft Console. She clicks to answer but the call can take a long time 4 out of 10 times to connect. When she uses the hard phone the same thing happens. When she shuts down SC and uses hard phone it works fine.

I ran monitor and notice packet losses of up to 222 packets from her PC ip address, as well as a lot of other IP phones (we are getting issues with 5 or 6 others).

Each phone is powered using Avaya power adaptors, her pc is connected to the SW on 5621 and to network firewall which in turn to network switch to meet the PBX.

I am assuming I have serious network issues but would like if someone could confirm this for me and recommend some changes to implement.

Thanks

20 IP Phones isnt really alot.
Any sites I have seen missed packets on have bought issues with them as well.
Cut offs/delays/license issues/quality issues.

Is there any way you could break the system down a little?
Or are the phones providing network to the PCs also.

I would get your self a spare switch do away with things like phone managers and the likes and seperate your ip office from the network the re-assess the monitor reports and go from there.

Thanks Provider.
Yes, I agree, 20 IP phones is nothing on a LAN, I didn't expect all the problems I am experiencing.

Each extension is using the pc switch at the back of the IP phone and everyone is using phonemanager pro.

I have 2 scenarios,

1 office with 10 IP devices (4 PCs from 4 IP phones, 1 Dect, 1 Printer)connect to main LAN using 1x 100MB cat5. Each phone and DECT in this office give rebooting issues and DECT problems. I put this down to not having a 1000MB connection and have changes in place for this.

2nd issue is the main reception as mentioned above. This is giving me major headaches. Answering a call using SC but no connection. Have tried connecting from back of phone and direct to lan but same problem. If I was to switch her phone to a digital type do you think this would solve the problem?

Why answering a call with a shortcode ????
make line appearance buttons for her
