Connection Cleanup

Can I tell DB2 how long I want it to wait before cleaning up a connection after the connection has been closed on the front end (from my vb app)? It seems as if it holds on to the connection for awhile to see if another one is being requestes?

Can someone help me out or point me in the right direction?
