Hi Guys, presently i had just switch to cable modem. But after afew days of usage, my surfing will just cut off and no more access to other websites unless i do a reboot. I'm using Win XP, hope someone will help me before i breakoff again. Thanks.

My guess is that the DHCP lease on your IP address has timed out, and although it should automatically renew itself, maybe it isn't.
If it happens again, go to the command prompt (start -> run cmd.exe) and type

IPCONFIG /RELEASE <RETURN>

then

IPCONFIG /RENEW <RETURN>

and see if you can surf again.
If you find this fixes your problem, and you need to do lots of it you might want to grab a copy of Wntipcfg from
which is a graphical interface to tcp/ip configuration information. It says it is for 2000, but works fine on NT4 and XP as well.

Thanks jrbarnett, i will try out once my connection breaks again.

If you don't turn the computer off some ISP will shut you down after a certain number of online hours.
