PC SAS has been recenlty installed on to my PC.Could anybody tell me the steps involved in creating connection between PC and mainframe.I wanted to know in specific what all that i need to enter in autoexec.sas file and what the information that i need to provide to mainframe administrator..

I appreciate if anybody can send me the procedure in detail..

Thanks

OK, I've not done this myself in a very long time now. First up though, you need to have the right SAS components, like SAS/Access for Mainframe I believe.
If you've got the right components I would really recommend contacting SAS Support as they should have all the necessary details of your configuration and be able to tell you exactly what steps you need to take to set up a connection.

(to find out if you have the right components, or what components you have use the following code
Code:
proc setinit;
run;
this will list in your log file all the licenced products (not necessarily the installed products, but what you are licenced for) as well as your site number which you'll need when you contact SAS Support.)
