I am getting repeated Security Alerts in my Norton Personal Firewall that have a message similar to the following.
Attempt to connect to local computer using the NetMonitor Trojan horse blocked.
At 9:21 PM on 1/10/05, the following communication was detected:
Application:C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe Protocol: TCP ().
It is always the same application but usually a different virus or trojan that was blocked. Should I get rid of MSN messenger? I don't use it very often and don't even have it start unless I do it manually.
Thanks,
Patty
