Hi everyone,
I'm at the point of lauphter, I never give up.
I've rearranged my systems. I have win98 on one computer that hooks to the net and the modem is in the win98 computer.
I have my Linux in a little box of it's own, no modem, just a USB net cable for networking. Now, this should be easier to configure, hahaha!
The win98 is the gateway computer with internet connection sharing and file sharing installed.
Now all I need to do is figure out how to get the Linux to find the USB cable. I looked for it with automatic search and manual search on the hardware page. But it's asking for an ethernet card. Is the USB cable under a different hardware profile?
Thanks
Tricia
