hi there

any ideas in getting this working?Does the entire mitel have to be linked to active directory?

what software version
No , MCd doesnt have to be linked to acive directory
Need to have correct dns address and ldap settings

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

Connaisseur,

I've deployed a few UC360s with these steps. The only info I have about the account used to query the LDAP server is that it is Read Only.

1. Press the Home button.
2. Press the Settings button.
3. Press the Advanced button.
4. Enter password to unlock: “ admin “ (All lowercase without the quotation marks)
5. Select System Settings.
6. Select LDAP/AD Settings.
7. Select LDAP Server Settings.
8. Directory Server IP address or Host name: LDAPSERVER.COMPANYNAME.DOMAIN
9. LDAP Search Directory: *
10. Communication Security Type: None
11. User Login: (eg. mitel-ldap) <USERNAME WITH READ ACCESS TO THE LDAP SERVER, NO DOMAIN>
12. User Password: (eg. MiT3L) <PASSWORD FOR THE ABOVE USER>
13. Select the check box beside ‘Use Pictures’ (size specifics in UC360 user guide??)
14. Select Save

Set a date/time for scheduled updates

1. Select LDAP Server Updates
2. Select Schedule Updates
3. Select the checkbox to enable Weekly updates.
4. Set Day: Sunday
5. Set Time: 4:00 AM
6. Select Save.
7. Return to System Settings and reboot the UC360.
8. Once the UC360 has reloaded, navigate back to LDAP /AD Settings > LDAP Server Updates
9. Select Get updates now.

The telephone numbers in AD have to be in the correct format. The UC360 does not recognize the '+' symbol, so if you're in NA and your AD numbers are internationalized (+1 905 123 1234) then you will see 190512341234. I can post more details about the AD attributes that the UC360 will show once I find some sleep (3300 upgrade, ULM/DLM/vMCD/MAS/NP rebuild yay!)

Sample dialstrings for NA and Australia

1. Select LDAP Translation Plan
2. Rule 1: 1XXXXXXXXXX (10 ‘X’s)
3. Rule 1 Prefix: 9
4. Rule 2: 61XXXXXXXXX (9 ‘X’s)
5. Rule 2 Prefix: 9011
6. Rule 3/4/5, Create Prefixes for other codes
7. Select Save

Re step 3, if you have other strings that also require 9011 to be inserted, such as a call to Indonesia (+62), you can separate the dial strings with a " ; " ( 61XXXXXXXXX;62XXXXXXXXX )

Need more? :p

Well done BriBob, deserves a star , i didn't have any access to our uc360 and didn't want to troll the manual looking for it ..

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....
