Hello,

I've done a fair bit of searching (and head scratching) to try to find a solution to connecting my two IPO500's together by SIP.

One is a v1 on 4.2. The other is a v2 on 6.0.18

Firstly, as far as I understand it, I can't use a H323 trunk without purchasing a relatively costly voice networking licence, hence why I'm trying SIP, as I have a number of SIP trunk licences. If this is incorrect please tell me.

Both IPO's are currently working with Gradwell on LAN2 on public firewalled IP's.

The offices have a VPN tunnel between them, which I wish to use as the route for LAN1.

I've seen a guide which I have followed as best I can, but it seems relatively old, and I have set up SIP trunks on both units with the ITSP IP as the LAN1 IP of the opposite unit.

I've also set up short codes such as 5XX/Dial/5N"@192.168.7.252" so that extensions 5xx are to the opposite unit.

Using monitor, I can see that they are communicating (just about) but I get "UNOBTAINABLE" on screen

I'm stuck. Can anyone help

Thank you

Paul

You can't centralize voicemail or any of the more advanced features like distributed hunt groups this way but you can connect them.
